Not for private use. US restrictions under the NDAA and related FCC rules bar Ubiquiti from federal government and certain federally-funded or critical-infrastructure projects. For private NYC apartment buildings, retail, offices, and homes it is legal to buy and install. For government, school-district, or federally-funded properties we spec a compliant alternative brand instead.

Can Ubiquiti cameras be viewed on a phone?

Yes. The the UniFi Protect app app provides live view, playback, and push alerts from anywhere. We set it up on your phone at install. Local NVR recording requires no monthly fee; cloud storage is optional.

Why is my Ubiquiti camera offline or not recording?

Common causes are a PoE or power fault on the cable run, a full or failed NVR hard drive, an IP or network conflict, or outdated firmware. Offline usually means the camera lost its link to the NVR; not recording is usually storage. We diagnose and fix it, often in one visit, including on systems we did not install.
